Ever since I was a little girl the painting ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt mesmerized me. I can’t recall when I saw it for the first time, but I surmise it was at a young age when memory fades away from us as we grow up. In my later years, I had a print gifted to me that hung wherever I resided for years. It was lost to me long ago. Someday replacing that print is one of my bucket list aspirations. Until then, after completing a few online watercolor tutorial classes, I decided to complete an homage to this piece. I had a sketch of mine I did a year or so ago in one of the many sketchbooks I keep. This ‘Homage to Gustav’ piece is the result of this creative project. The original is an 8x10 watercolor on watercolor paper that I may someday choose to sell. I say ‘may’ because I often find myself holding onto the art I create… the art that I was moved to create from a personal desire. Until then, I’ll be working to create a few products with this image, such as greeting cards, postcards, or clothing items. Maybe a shower curtain?♡–Dori
From a simple idea conceived in my imagination at the young age of fourteen to present day, this series has been a long time coming. Enraptures of The Muse Divine Saga One: The Uncovering kicks us off on a sweeping journey to save mankind. Episodes 1-46 are now available on Kindle Vella. The novel release is anticipated for later this year, 2023. Saga two episodes will begin releasing on Kindle Vella in January 2024. Come on this adventure with us, explore and discover, and love.
Human desire to complicate things has led to confusion, battles, wars, and fighting all across the globe for centuries. Blatant refusal to consider the simplest of answers has kept the human race captured in ignorance. - Gillian
Enraptures of The Muse Divine takes us on the journeys of profoundly unique beings destined to unveil and unravel the darkness of mankind, realize the full scope of who and what we are, and discover the infinite possibilities of what we've forgotten. This series explores themes of love, spirituality, sorrows of the human experience, redemption, and more.

Doris Faye Jones is a myriad. There are no bounds to the variety of her creative outlets. In addition to fine art painting, she creates illustrations to her poetry and other digital graphics for coloring books, individual page releases, or other projects. Overall, her artwork is not about making money. She paints what and where her heart takes her. Her works are her ‘labors of love’. Every piece has a story behind it and most of them represent love in some way. If you’ve seen any piece of her work, or read any poem or story, you’ve seen a piece of this artist’s heart. Her work is also spiritually inspired. While not all of her work is faith-based or intentionally religious in nature; the majority of her creative anthology is divinely inspired. Her God-inspired works include her faith-based children’s coloring book and women’s devotional workbook, Ruminations On A Shooting Star: A 21-day Meditative Journey for women to take with God. She utilizes various mediums across many categories, such as pencils, ink, markers, charcoal, acrylics, watercolors, chalk, and many more. It is simpler to say there are no “plans” for what is used, how, or why. “It just happens”. Her art has often been described as resembling stained-glass windows. Her overall style can be perceived as abstract realism and symbolism. In 2019, she released her first self-published poetry and art book. She has since released multiple poetry collections and launched her illustrated haiku series: L'amour Déshabillée and her Diva Daily Living coloring book series. In 2021, she published a full-length spoken word poetry album to accompany the tribute poetry collection for dearly departed Van Bakes, BLACK HESHER entitled ‘Magic Man'. This author has many other upcoming projects coming along toward their completion. Her most recent publication is the sixth poetry collection entitled ‘I Live In Love: Uncontrollable Love’ available for sale on Amazon.
